Appointments

Yes! We require appointments for wedding dresses and for bridesmaids/Mom’s/Prom etc. If you drop in while an appointment is in progress, there might not be a change room available. Booking a time guarantees a change room and the proper attention you deserve.

Any kind of regular underwear that you feel comfortable wearing and a strapless bra would be good (if available). Some women feel better with a control type of underwear like Spanx.

Yes! Babies and small children are welcomed but must be supervised at all times. We do our best to keep our floors clean, however, we request no crawling on floors due to small beads and other items that may fall off of merchandise during appointments.

We allow 2 hours between appointments for Bridal and 1 hour for Bridesmaids, Mothers and Prom.

No problem, just call 519-927-5177 or email sherrysbridalboutique@gmail.com  to let us know. We try to limit one bridal appointment at a time. Not showing up without informing us leaves an opening that could be filled by another customer.

Although we are a small boutique with limited space and seating, we don’t want anyone to feel left out. We have accommodated 8 guests but would prefer to keep it around 3-5. We suggest to bring family and friends with you who are important to your dress buying decision because, with the array of choices, special incentives, and the personal attention you will receive, there is an excellent chance you will want to purchase your dream wedding dress that day!  The choice is yours but just remember, the more people the more opinions.

Dress

Yes! All the dresses are here in the store and more! Some of our in stock dresses are not showing online.

We offer a wide range of prices to fit any budget. Buy-Off-The-Rack/Discontinued dresses start as low as $99.00. Ordered dresses range from $1000-$5000.

Dresses take anywhere from 5-8 months to arrive depending on the designer. We suggest having your dress ordered 12 to 16 months before the wedding.

Miscellaneous

1) Do some research. Look at the different styles online to get a feel for what you are liking to show your consultant.

2) Check out our “In Stock Wedding Dresses” tab and copy pictures of the ones you would like to try on.

3) If you have long hair, wear it up. Trying on dresses with detailed backs, zippers, buttons, etc. can get tangled with your hair.

4) Use unscented deodorant if possible.

5) Be open to trying on different shapes and styles of dresses.

6) Never judge a dress on the hanger! You are more likely to leave with a completely

different dress than what you originally thought you wanted.

7) Avoid the “Just Try It” dress if its not in your price range. Trying on dresses outside your budget can lead to heartbreak and confusion.

Ideally it’s best to start shopping a good 12 months in advance for a bridal dress to ensure you get your dream dress on time for your wedding. For bridesmaids dresses it’s best to come in 8 month prior.

Yes, we do request you remove your shoes. For your protection, please bring a clean pair of indoor shoes or slippers to wear while in the store. We also have slippers for our customers to use.

You can either book an appointment with us online or call the store to arrange an appointment with one of our consultants.

When it comes to bridal, we like 12 months and we like 8 months for special occasion dresses. Although it doesn’t take a full year or 8 months for dresses to come in, it allows us time to replace any potential defects from the manufacturer as well as your alteration period.

The most important thing to bring to your appointment are the people who mean the most to you. If you were to find your dress in your appointment, we want to make sure your loved ones are there to share in your special moment.

Please arrive a few minutes before so that it doesn’t cut into your appointment time. If you are running behind, please give us a call to let us know. Please keep in mind that if you are late, it will cut into your appointment time if there are other appointments after yours.

We have a wide range of sizes available to try on from size 4 to 28. We also have clips that we use during the appointment to help our brides get a better understanding of how the dress will fit when it is closer to their size.

We will work with every bride and budget to ensure you feel happy and beautiful, whether you can only spend $500 or $4000, we will ensure you get the full bridal experience.

You are allowed to take pictures of the bride in her dress. We don’t allow pictures of our tags.

We offer a free veil (valued at $200) to any of our brides who say “Yes to her dress” on the first appointment. If a veil is not part of your wedding vision, you can apply that towards a headpiece. It can either be chosen at the time of purchasing your dress or when you come back to pick your dress up.

Bridal dresses are 50% down when placing your order and the remainder is paid when you pick up the dress. All other special occasion dresses are paid in full at time of ordering. We accept visa, mastercard, debit and cash.

We do all measurements at the time of ordering your dress according to the designer size chart. We go over the size with you in full detail before placing the order so you understand the size we will be ordering. We always want our brides to know that these are not custom measurements and the dress will still require alterations.

Although we do not offer in house alterations, we have suggestions for seamstresses that we have worked with in the past. You can also take it to anyone you have used before and you trust. Prices will vary according to who you go to.

If your event is cancelled, you are given some options. You can either pay the remainder balance of the dress and it is your dress to do as you wish (sell it, keep it, etc) or if you no longer want the dress, you forfeit the 50% downpayment and dress entirely.
